Responsible for the operational procedures associated with all legal arrangements with vendor
contracts and physicians. May at times serve as a consultant to assist physicians and the management
team in addressing physician contract issues and ensuring that contract requirements are met.
Facilitates internal and external physician and non-physician contract/agreement audits as
required/requested.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Critical and Analytical Thinking:
• Responsible for organizing and controlling a centralized system for physician, non-physician
contracts and agreements.
• Manages the contract processes, data, and reviews all contracts, agreements, maintains calendar
processes’ notifications and ensures accountability.
• Ensures physician and non-physician contracts are current and renewed on a timely basis.
• Reviews a wide variety of confidential legal documents and has the authority to make
recommendations on the modification of documents and tracking systems.
• Responsible for feedback to senior leadership and managers who are responsible for negotiating,
renewing and enforcing contracts.
Professional Accountability:
• Works with administration to ensure that physician contracting is done in accordance Sutter’s
policies and procedures.
• Assists with training for staff regarding contract process and issues.
• Provides consultation for those responsible for ensuring that executed physician contracts policies
are enforced.
• Facilitates internal and external physician contract audits as required
• Assists with the coordination of corrective action plans in response to audit findings.
Continuous Improvement:
• Ensures each contract/agreement has been approved by legal counsel and is compliant with regard
to documentation, execution, and terms.
• Makes sure each contact/agreement meets criteria as described in the physician and non-physician
contract checklist.
• Demonstrates commitment towards continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identifies ways to improve work processes, and to enhance quality and productivity.
EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
Associate's: Business Administration, Health Administration or related field
